Social Impact

Part of CityStep's commitment to thoughtful service requires defining and evaluating the impact the organization has on its community, defined broadly: CityStep students and families, teachers and schools, and Harvard undergraduates. In 2012, CityStep launched a yearly impact assessment project, developed by Executive Producer Anita Hofschneider '12 based on current research in arts education and program evaluation. Each year, CityStep conducts pre- and post-assessment surveys and interviews with CityStep students, undergraduate CityStep members, and Cambridge school teachers to determine how well the organization is accomplishing its mission.
